Hispanic Support Group

The Hispanic Support Group is for BSHS student that are of Hispanic heritage or speak Spanish, that ar interested in receiving info on a variety of resources and opportunities the school has to offer. Students will be exposed to information that will prepare them to continue post secondary education like applying for FAFSA, scholarships, and the steps to be accepted in college. Student will attend college visits and speak to guest speakers from private, public and non-profit sectors to learn the many careers and job readiness opportunities. (Due to COVID we have not determine how field trips will take place yet)
22/23 Meeting Dates/Times: The group will meet once or twice a month during Flex in the cafeteria on Monday or Wednesdays. We will also have different activities during the school year such as cultural events, college tours, educational nights, parent informational nights.
Parents must sign permission form or email Mrs. Valles to give permission. Student need to be present and interact during meetings.
Field trips, educational nights, guest speakers time and dates to be announced.
