Kentucky Performing Arts (KPA) presented its 2026 Bradley Awards for musical theatre at a red-carpet event May 31 in Louisville. Bryan Station High’s cast and crew of “Sweeney Todd – School Edition” received a Behind the Scenes Excellence Award after competing against three dozen schools from throughout Kentucky and Indiana.  

Fayette County Public Schools sends a special shout-out to Sofia Martinez and Daniel Amaral (assistant student directing), Taylor Glass (hair and makeup design), Sophie Stokley (stage management), and Sydney Jeffries (graphic design, costume, and set design). These students are led by teacher/director Kala Cookendorfer Chaffin.
