Spring 2025 College Awareness Program

The FCPS Family and Community Engagement Program will kickoff its College Awareness Program (CAP) on Saturday, February 15th. This semester, we have two unique opportunities to provide students and families with interactive workshops and student ACT Prep sessions. ALL sessions will be hosted at our Family Connection Center North (behind Consolidated Baptist Church) at 1625 Russell Cave Road. Registration is free and snacks will be provided. 

CAP interactive workshop sessions for students and caregivers will be hosted bi-weekly on Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. -7:30 p.m. beginning Feb. 18th-April 1st, 2025. Parent/Caregiver session topics include scholarship assistance & financial aid, creating a village for your child, and college preparedness timeline. Student session topics include coping with stress, resume building and interview skills, and other success skills for life after high school. Our presenters include FCPS staff and our community partners. Student and caregiver tracks will run concurrently. Register at http://bit.ly/CAPSPRING2025. 

Student ACT Prep sessions will be hosted every Saturday from 12:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. beginning February 15th-March 8th, 2025. Ultimate Test Prep will be providing the service. All materials will be available onsite. Only 35 spots are available. Register at https://bit.ly/SPRING25ACTPREP.
