Dr. Tracy Spigelman is clinical coordinator and associate professor of the Athletic Training Program at Eastern Kentucky University. She grew up outside of Philadelphia in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, and went to the University of Vermont, where she earned a B.S. in Physical Education with a concentration in Athletic Training in 1997. Spigelman then taught elementary physical education at Fulton Elementary and was an assistant athletic trainer at McCaskey High School in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, from 1997 to 2000. In 2002, she received her master's degree from Temple University in Athletic Training, where she studied shoulder injuries in swimmers. Dr. Spigelman taught at both the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine, and Towson University in Towson, Maryland, before attending the University of Kentucky, where she earned her Ph.D. in Biomechanics in May 2009. Outside of work, Spigelman enjoys swimming with the Wildcat Masters Swim team and riding road bikes and mountain bikes with her friends.
