Dual Language Immersion (DLI)

Our DLI program provides exciting opportunities for students to gain deeper insights into themselves and other ways of thinking and self-expression.  Being immersed in both English and Spanish greatly contributes to the students' development of verbal creativity and problem-solving skills.

Immersion students are offered advanced and AP Spanish courses, as well as advanced biology, chemistry, and physics in the target language.

Goals

  • Functional proficiency in the second language
  • Mastery of subject-content materials
  • Cross-cultural understanding
  • Reading skills enrichment
  • Writing skills enrichment

Enrollment

Students participating in Bryan Station Middle's immersion program do not need to apply for continuation at BSHS. However, if a student wishes to enter the DLI program for the first time at the high school level, they must inquire at the school and must be able to pass verbal and written tests in Spanish and English.

Visit our Application page for the latest details, including the application window for admission the following school year.
